hey i bought a 1990 f150 with a 5.0 last night its blowing alot of oil out the dip stick and breather? but all the plugs look good so i was wondering if anyone had a cheap 5.0 that was in drivable condition i could swap in it or if i would be beter off to fix the one i have, just pricing now till i check into it further thanks

Check your PVC, swap it.

There is a 302 in the bulletin board for 100$. But yeah PCV sounds like a possible culprit.

thanks, ill take a look tonight at the pcv and the Bulletin board, like i said i i just got it last night have not had a chance to look it over real good yet but im off all next week and kinda wanted to get every thing lined up to have it up and going while i off work,

Good news, if it's simply a pcv, that is a cheap fix.
However sometimes that is caused by excessive blowby aka bad rings.
First keep is when you said your dipstick was pressurized, meaning the crank can't ventilate, which also forces oil out your breather filter.

yeah i first thought it may have a hole in a piston or maybe realy burnt rings thats why i pulled the plugs but none were covered with oil so it must be simple i has good oil pressure when running too, i got a good deal on the truck that i could not pass up
